Overview

By following ON6WG-F5VIF's articles about the Eggbeater antenna for his TinyGS project, Nick-G4JET designed parts for 3D printing a 433 MHz version to facilitate the manufacture of the antenna.

The image above shows the parts produced using 3D printing (from top to bottom) Quad 1, Quad5, Quad2, Quad3, Quad4. The loops are constructed from 2mm dia copper wire.

Description of the files contained in the .zip folder

The STL files are the basic files for all 3d printing and they ”describe” the parts for slicing before being sent to the 3d printer.

the position of the parts on the antenna.


Quad 1 is the crossover top. Quad 2 is the base. Expoxy glue was used to keep the loops in place before screwing Quad 5 onto it using an M3 nut and bolt. It should be waterproof for external use with the epoxy. Quad 3 is the “MAST”. Quad 4 is the holder which was designed to screw it all to timber in the roof space. Quad 5 is the cover that is screwed onto Quad 2 using an M3 nut and bolt. Quad 6 and Quad 7 is the clamp to keep the ferrites in place (see photo). Two parts of Quad 6 required.
